MY COACHING FOR YOUMC4Y P. Hoenig

Personal and team development

Structures need people to carry them. Six services for individuals and teams – from project support to personal coaching.

By Peter Hoenig · Last updated:

Every person has an individual personality, which I meet with esteem and respect. That is why I do not simply apply methods I have learned, but tailor them to you and your goals.

Facilitation

Good facilitation turns many voices into a shared result. I lead your workshops neutrally, in a structured way and with an eye for the group.

More on facilitation

Which module fits your question?

The names overlap, so here is the mapping by what is actually at hand:

  • One person is seeking clarity – about a decision, a role or a path: business coaching if it is professional, personal coaching if the matter goes beyond that.
  • A team no longer works – roles are unclear, people talk past each other, commitments do not hold: team development.
  • There is an open conflict – between people, departments or with a manager: conflict management, with confidential individual conversations beforehand.
  • A group has to reach a result – workshop, away day, strategy session: facilitation. The advantage of external leadership is that everyone can think along instead of facilitating.
  • A project is going off track – or should not get there in the first place: project support and coaching.

If you are unsure, take the initial consultation. Working out which it is belongs to my part of the job, not yours.

How I work

In coaching I give no advice. That sounds unsatisfying at first – anyone with a question wants an answer. But solutions that come from outside rarely hold: they do not fit the situation that only you know fully, and nobody implements with conviction what they did not work out themselves. My task is to ask the questions you do not ask yourself, and to give structure where things become unclear.

Where it helps, I work with images instead of words – with the systemic board, with cards or with my inner team. These tools are available to you here free of charge, even without working with me.

Models such as Spiral Dynamics, Theory U and the Dilts pyramid I use as models for reflection and conversation, not as diagnostic instruments. They give a conversation structure; they do not measure a person.

What you will not get from me

No personality tests that sort people into types. No team event after which everyone feels good and on Monday everything is as before. And no therapy: coaching is not psychotherapy (§ 1 (3) of the German Psychotherapy Act). If it becomes clear in conversation that health concerns are to the fore, I say so and point further.

Frequently asked questions

Who are these services intended for?

For leaders, project managers, teams and individuals – in companies as well as for self-employed people and private individuals.

Does coaching replace therapy?

No. All services are advisory activities outside the practice of medicine (Heilkunde). Coaching is not psychotherapy within the meaning of § 1 (3) of the German Psychotherapy Act. Where health is affected, therapeutic or medical help is the right route.

How many sessions does coaching take?

That depends on the matter. For a clearly defined question, two or three sessions are often enough. For changes that need time – a new role, a professional transition – accompaniment over several months makes sense, with longer gaps between appointments. We agree this after the initial consultation, and you can stop at any time.

Does this take place on site or online?

Both. Individual coaching works well by video and saves travel. Team development and facilitation usually take place on site, because the dynamic of a group is more tangible in the room. We clarify beforehand what suits you.

Is what we discuss confidential?

Yes, without exception. That also applies when a company pays for the coaching: the client organisation learns whether the appointments took place, but not what was discussed. In conflict work, content from individual conversations is passed on only with explicit consent.

Do you also work with private individuals?

Yes. Personal coaching is expressly open to private individuals; the prices for it are final prices including VAT. See the price list.
